My Costco #2 - 2008
40 x 60
Ink & Acrylic on Paper
"My Costco" is a quote from my mother-in-law. The piece starts with the idea of ownership within a large, generic, and corporatized landscape. I find the phrase to be an interesting and probably unplanned emotional event that occurred around a big-box-filled culture. I'm very interested in suburbia in general from an aesthetic and structural point of view, and I enjoy the quote, and its implications as an organic development of this social structure.
